SUMMITBOUNDLearning

Enrollment terms and policies

Terms of Service

These terms explain enrollment, attendance, refunds, participation expectations, and other policies for SummitBound Learning programs.

Enrollment & Seat Reservation

Enrollment reserves a student's seat in a specific learning pod for the full duration of the unit. Because pod sizes are intentionally limited, each enrollment represents a reserved space that cannot always be filled if a student withdraws after the unit has been organized.

Parent/Guardian Authority

By enrolling a student, the enrolling adult confirms they are the parent or legal guardian of the student, or otherwise hold the legal authority to enroll the student in SummitBound Learning's programs and agree to these terms on the student's behalf.

Refund Policy

14 or more days before the first class

Full refund.

### 7–13 days before the first class

Full account credit toward a future program or a refund less any applicable administrative fee.

### Less than 7 days before the first class

Account credit only.

### After the first class has taken place

Tuition is non-refundable.

Requests involving exceptional circumstances may be reviewed individually at SummitBound Learning's discretion.

Attendance & Absences

Consistent attendance is essential to both individual progress and the collaborative learning experience within each pod. Families are encouraged to attend every scheduled class whenever possible. If a student misses a class, SummitBound Learning will provide: - A lesson summary - Any class materials or guided notes - Practice activities or extension work, when appropriate Because instruction takes place in a live, collaborative learning environment, individual make-up classes are not provided for missed sessions.

Instructor Cancellations

If a class must be canceled by SummitBound Learning due to instructor illness or other unforeseen circumstances, families will be notified as soon as possible. The missed class will be rescheduled or an equivalent instructional session will be provided.

Pod Formation

Learning pods are formed based on enrollment, grade level, subject, scheduling compatibility, and instructional readiness. If minimum enrollment is not reached for a scheduled pod, families may be offered one of the following options: - Placement in another compatible pod - Enrollment in a future unit - Account credit - Refund, if no suitable alternative is available Enrollment is not considered final until pod placement and scheduling have been confirmed.

Transfers Between Programs

Students generally begin at the start of a unit. Transfers to another pod or program may be considered during the early stages of a unit when space is available and the instructor determines that the placement is appropriate.

Late Enrollment

Students are encouraged to begin at the start of each unit. Mid-unit enrollment may be offered only when the instructor determines that the student has the prerequisite knowledge needed to join successfully and space is available.

Student Participation

Students are expected to arrive prepared, participate respectfully, engage in discussions, and contribute positively to the learning environment. A supportive and collaborative classroom benefits every learner.

Learning Commitment

SummitBound Learning's programs are designed as structured learning experiences rather than individual tutoring sessions. Families are encouraged to commit to the full unit, as regular attendance and consistent participation allow students to build understanding, contribute to their pod, and experience the greatest academic growth.

Limitation of Liability

SummitBound Learning provides its programs on an "as-is" basis and makes no guarantee of specific academic outcomes, grades, or test results. SummitBound Learning is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in its programs, including but not limited to technical disruptions, internet outages, or third-party platform issues affecting live instruction. SummitBound Learning's total liability in any circumstance is limited to the amount paid by the family for the program in question.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute arising from these terms or a family's enrollment will first be addressed through good-faith informal resolution between the family and SummitBound Learning. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration or in the small claims courts of the county in which SummitBound Learning operates, as applicable.

Our Commitment

SummitBound Learning is committed to providing a thoughtful, engaging, and supportive learning experience for every student. If, after the first class, a family believes the program is not an appropriate fit, we encourage them to contact us promptly. Whenever possible, we will work collaboratively to identify a more suitable pod or discuss available enrollment options consistent with these policies.
